Affiliate Disclosure & How We Rank
Last updated: November 2, 2026
How we make money
PropReferee is free to use. We earn money through affiliate (partner) programs: when you click a "Get Deal" or "Visit" button, or use a discount code shown on this site, and then buy a challenge or account, the prop firm may pay us a commission. You never pay more because of this. Our partner codes often mean you pay less.
Links that can earn us a commission go through addresses that start with /go/ and are marked as sponsored links for search engines.
What partnerships do not affect
- Rankings. Whether or not a firm is a partner, or how much it pays, has no effect on its score or position. Partner deals carry zero weight in our formula.
- Reviews. We publish genuine trader reviews whether they're positive or negative, partner or not. Firms can't pay to remove or hide reviews.
- Which firms we list. We list firms that aren't partners too, with links to their own websites.
How the PropReferee Score works
Each firm gets a score from 0–100, recalculated automatically as new data and approved reviews come in:
- Rating (45%): the average star rating from approved trader reviews. Until a firm has 20 reviews, this is blended with our editor rating, and the trader share grows with every review.
- Review volume (15%): how many approved trader reviews the firm has.
- Profit split (20%): the maximum share of profits the firm pays out.
- Track record (20%): how many years the firm has been operating.
Editor ratings are our own opinion, based on a firm's published rules, pricing, payout terms and public track record. They are clearly labelled and are never presented as trader reviews.
Firm details such as prices, profit splits and rules come from each firm's public website and can change at any time. Always check the firm's own site before you buy.
Not financial advice
Everything on PropReferee is general information and opinion, not financial, investment or trading advice. Trading leveraged products such as futures, forex and crypto carries a high risk of loss. Most traders do not pass prop firm evaluations, and past payouts don't guarantee future ones.
